Years of atmospheric attack, pollution and thermal movement had caused the seals of the glazing bars within the roof lights to deteriorate badly and they had been leaking for some while.
The cost of replacement was prohibitive and the client was looking for a long term cost effective system to renovate the roof light area. It was also important for the repairs to be aesthetically pleasing and in keeping with the surrounding structure
A liquid applied fully reinforced overlay was carefully applied. This provided a seamless fully bonded coating over the glazing bars, bonding directly to the glass.
